Classes are held on Friday evenings for children aged 8 years and over who wish to prepare for the possibility of taking the LAMDA examinations in Performance and Communication.

The classes are designed to cover all aspects of Drama including:

• Acting
• Devising Drama
• Mime
• Speaking Verse and Prose
• Reading for Performance
• Characterisation and Stagecraft

 Classes are split into levels depending on age and ability and all classes run alongside and compliment our Saturday Musical Theatre lessons perfectly.

LAMDA CLASSES

Our LAMDA classes follow the examination syllabus for Acting, Verse, Prose and Musical Theatre. 

Our aim is for students to:

• develop strong physical and vocal skills 
• improve diction and the spoken word including dialects and accents
• build self-confidence and self-awareness
• read easily, fluently and with understanding
• explore poetry, conversation skills and set acting speeches.
• and ultimately, be prepared for an examination if they are able.
